Ok so it now 2017 !!!!
So as I have said more than once over the years I really need to get me head in gear and shift some of this weight !!!!!
I have been going to my Slimming World class over Christmas but that was more to NOT gain loads rather than to lose any but I did have a couple of weeks where I lost and a couple of weeks where I had a little gain so all in all very happy …
So now Christmas is over and all the chocolates are gone… well the ones that are still here will be going in the bin ….
BACK on plan today …. 😀 Feel better already and looking forward to class tomorrow night, I am expecting a gain but it will be my last gain in January that’s for sure !!!
Now off to do a meal plan for the next few days …. 😀 😀

Ok so I have been listening to Paul Mckenna and the I Can Make You Thin for almost a week… I had a good read of the book (read in under a day) which I will re-read and I have to say that the difference is amazing …. I am already NO longer thinking about food 24/7, I’m no longer planning meals days ahead I more like go in the kitchen and see what I have then oh yeah I will make that for dinner.
One way I can explain it is that the foo is no longer shouting at me yes there is the odd whisper now and again but its easier to ignore 😀 It almost feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I now set my alarm in the morning 30 mins earlier and then I lay and listen to Paul and I have to say I am getting up in a much more relaxed and calm mood and getting on with things.
I am eating food which I love and I am enjoying being back in the kitchen 😀 I am also enjoying the food I am eating so much more 😀
I was also very naughty this morning and jumped, well more like stepped nervously onto my scales (your not meant to weigh for at least 2 weeks!) and I am very happy to say that I have lost 2lbs 😀 😀
So my book which came today is – Paul Mckenna I Can Make You Thin ….. Yes I guess some of you are eye rolling ! 😀
Well I already had the cd’s that go with the book for some reason so I think hell why not give it a try so I started listening to the cd a couple of days ago which I find best first thing in the morning I set my alarm for 30 mins earlier and then stick my ipod in with headphones 😀 I have to say the last couple of days I have got up feeling better 😀 😀
I have also got more done during the day and yesterday I found that I ate lunch (ive never been one for breaky) then I didn’t have anything until my dinner which is unusual for me as normally nibbling at 4ish !!!! Yes I did have a bit of cake with my evening cuppa but I didn’t sit and stuff in front of the tv 😀
So my book came this morning which I have started to read and it is all beginning to make sence !!!! 😛
Hello all 😀 I hope everybody is enjoying the weather 😀
So I have made a BIG decision after just over 2 years of being on and off Slimming World (more off than on lately !) I have decided that I need to do something different, come at things from a different angle really.
I am no longer going to go to my Slimming World Group although I will miss them all as I have met lots of wonderful people and made lots of lovely friends, I do how ever intend to follow the Slimming World plan to a point …..
The point being I love some of the Slimming World recipes but for me I want to be able to have Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner something I have never really done, it is easy for me to start the day with a cuppa miss breaky then if I am busy I can forget lunch as well then by 4pm I’m raiding the fridge while thinking of something to cook for dinner. I want to eat food that I like and NOT just because I can as they are FREE
I guess I am lucky as I do love to cook I always have and I need to get that flair back, when I was younger I was always in the kitchen making up something or other much to the dread of my parents when they had to taste test it !!!! I’m no Gordon Ramsey or Nigela but cooking is fun and I want to be able to past that onto my kids…..
I shall be making a start once my new book comes that I have order …….. 😀 😀

So I did yesterday Day 1 totally ON PLAN 😀 😀
This is one of my favorite lunches …. The pate is Syn free and SP 😀
You Will Need :
- 225g Chicken Livers, very finely chopped
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
- 3 Rashers Bacon, finely chopped
- Salt & Pepper
- Spray a large frying pan with frylight and heat, add the bacon and fry for a few minutes.
- Add the onion & garlic and fry for a few more minutes, make sure you give it a stir every now and then.
- Add the chicken livers and fry for approx 5 minutes or until cooked stirring every now and then.
- Pour mixture into a bowl and set to one side to cool.
- Once the mixture is cool add salt & pepper to taste and then add the Quark, I add a spoonful at a time and then mix thoroughly, keep following this step until you get the consistency that you want. I like quite a solid pate so I add 2 to 3 spoons of Quark.
- Now tip the pate into a small dish and flatten down then cover with clingfilm and pop in the fridge.
If you do not have any Quark then you can use Fat Free Fromage Frais instead, if you do then the recipe will just be Syn Free and NOT SP.
So as I write this I am thinking how many times have I said this ?? Fresh start, drawing a line etc etc….. So I was not on plan last week and gained 6lbs last night but it was my own fault I just seemed to NOT have an OFF button last week when it cam to food !!!! The week before was a bit hit and miss but I did lose 3.5lbs.. SSooooo this week I am going to stick to bloody plan 110% if its the last thing I do !!!!!
I have a friends wedding in a few weeks well 4 more weigh ins to be exact and I want to lose at least 1st before then so that’s it not more excuses, not more blaming other people it’s me and me along that does the food shopping, cooks the lunches & dinners and ultimately puts the food in my mouth. I need to realise that I need to do this for me because I am worth it ! 😀 😀
