Low Syn Mousse

This is a great pudding for all the family and is only 1.5 syns for the whole lot !!! 😀
What You Need – 

  • 1 Sachet Of Sugar Free Jelly
  • 60ml Boiling Water
  • 250ml Fat Free Fromage Frais
  • 250g Of Quark

Method –

  • Desolve the jelly in the boiling water and mix well, set aside to cool for a few minutes.
  • Add the fromage frais and the quark to the jelly and mix well.
  • Whisk the mixture for a good few minutes until light and fluffy
  • Divide the mixture between 2 or 4 bowls and place in the fridge until set.

Spicy Chicken Drumsticks

This dish is great for all the family, it has some lovely flavour but not that spicy.

You Will Need – 

  • 8 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp Parprika
  • 2 tsp Tumeric
  • 6 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Salt
  • 2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 4 tbsp White Wine Vinegar

Method 

  • Skin the drumstick and stilt twice with a sharp knife, place in a dish and set to one side.
  • In a clean bowl mix all the other ingredients together and then gently pour over the drumsticks.
  • Cover the drumsticks and place in the fridge for 6 to 8hrs or longer if possible.
  • Place the drumsticks on a lined baking tray and the bake in the oven on 180 for 25/35 mins.

Serve with wedges & salad or even rice…..

SYN FREE LEMON CURD

SYN FREE LEMON CURD

  • 3 Heaped Dessert Spoons Of Sweetener
  • Grated Rind & Juice Of 1 lemon
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2oz Quark

 

Mix sweetener with grated rind. In separate bowl, beat egg with lemon juice add sweetener mixture to egg mixture and put bowl over a pan of simmering water stir slowly until mixture thickens (approx 5 mins) remove from heat and stir in Quark.

Sausage Casserole

This is a really easy one pot recipe for all the family 🙂

The syns for the recipe will depend on which sausages you use…. I use the Extra Lean From Sainsburys so it would be 8 syns for the whole dish.

You Will Need – 

  • 1 Pack of 8 Sausages
  • 1 Tin Of Baked Beans
  • 1 Tin Of Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Large Onion Finely Sliced
  • 4 Large Carrots Cut in to bite size chunks
  • 6  – 8 Large New Potato’s cut in to large bite size chunks
  • 3 Cloves Of Garlic Crushed
  • I large Pepper Roughly Chopped
  • Frylight
  • 1 Pint of Veg Stock

Method – 

  • Spray a large pan with frylight and add the onion and garlic, fry for a few mins and then add the sausages. Fry for another 5 minutes until the sausages are slightly brown. If the sausage or onion begins to stick to the pan then just add a little water.
  • Now add all the rest of the ingredients and pour over the stock and put lid on the pan. Cook in the oven for 60 to 90mins making sure the potatoes are cooked.
  • Place the pan on a low gas on the hob and then bring to the boil so that the juice thickens and reduces.

Serve on its own or with some rice…. I like mine with a slice of bread 😛
